“My name is Emanuele, I’m 16 years old, I’m from Rome and 6 months ago I had to choose for my first bike ever. My father rides a bike, my mother a scooter, so I was literally born on 2 wheels. At the age of 4 I started going behind them, so it was only time before I would have got one on my own. It signed my destiny. I still go to school, it is a scientific address. I chose to follow my dream of becoming a mechanical engineer and work for some big car or bike companies.”

1. Which Brixton do you ride? What do you like best about it?

I do ride a Brixton Crossfire 125 LC and I love everything about it. Probably the unique headlight and the stunning retro design mixed with modern accents.

2. How long have you been riding a motorcycle?

I’ve been riding my motorcycle for about 7 months now. Unfortunately, I hardly got to ride in July because my Brixton had to go into the workshop. It was a particularly difficult time for me because I’ve only just discovered the fun of riding for myself. I’ve grown very fond of my bike after a short time, so I’ve learned to appreciate it more than ever, and now we’re inseparable.

3. What is the perfect weather for you to ride?

I think any time is a good time to ride. Every weather condition has something good and special to offer, but if I had to choose, a cloudy day during autumn would appeal to me the most. I love autumn and it’s a wonderful feeling to look at the colorful leaves on the trees while riding.

4. Which accessories are indispensable for you on the motorcycle?

A nice rider is the best accessory a bike can have 😉 Anyway, I don’t have many accessories on my bike, but I think a mobile phone holder is a must. Sometimes I listen to music while riding, it makes the rides even more enjoyable and connects you more with the scenery.

5. Why did you decide on this model?

It was love at first sight. I went to the dealer looking for a new bike and while I was there the Crossfire 125 LC caught my eye. I decided to take it for a test ride and ditched the bike I was originally going to buy. It was the best decision I ever made. Without a doubt.

6. What was the most dangerous situation when riding your motorcycle?

Well, I have faced death many times and I remember every single situation. Once I was travelling with my friend at night and as he drove in front of me I noticed traces of oil on the ground. I thought he had leaked oil and I wanted to warn him. I bent too much in the bend and felt the bike leave me. The front wheel had spun. I accidentally let go of the clutch and the bike got up on its own. I ended up falling off the bike and I couldn’t realise at first what had just happened.

7. Who is your favourite motorcycle buddy and why?

I have a friend who also rides a Brixton, a Felsberg 125, and I sometimes go out with him. I’m also waiting for my best friend Sebastian to get his driving license so we can finally ride together.

8. How often do you get to ride your motorcycle?

Every day, I always ride it to school because I live quite far away from it. I also ride to different lakes every weekend to meet other bikers and discover new roads. As I live in Rome, the most famous lakes are the “lago di Bracciano” or the “lago di Albano”, I like to be there.

9. Where do you ride your Brixton in your free time?

I like riding with friends. To relax, I also like to cycle alone. Near my house, I pass many fields and farms. I always go there to watch the sunset.

10. What was the most beautiful place you explored with your Brixton?

I’ve loved every place I’ve visited with my Brixton so far. It probably wouldn’t have been the same if I had travelled there by car. But the trip to Terminillo Mountain remains at the top of the list.
