My name is Claudia, I’m 43 years old and I live in Pinzgau (Austria). I have to deal with a lot of people in my job, which can be very stressful. That’s why I like to spend my free time in nature, recharging my batteries where there aren’t too many people. Like taking a nice hike with a climbing route, or taking touring skis up the mountain in winter. But my dream has always been to ride a motorbike; start the engine, ride comfortably and just enjoy. I only fulfilled this dream last year, and after the motorbike course I wasn’t even sure – I wondered if I should buy a scooter instead. But after test riding the Cromwell 125, I knew it was the motorbike for me.

1. Why do you ride a motorcycle?

Joy of life.

2. What was it about Brixton Motorcycles that got your attention?

I’ve always had a preference for old-style motorcycles. A friend introduced me to Brixton motorcycles last year. I have seen the photos and knew I had to find one.

3. What Brixton are you riding? What’s your favourite thing about it?

I am riding a Cromwell 125. My favourite thing about it? It suits my style.

4. How long have you been riding for?

Since autumn 2020. I’m new to riding a motorcycle.

5. What made you realise your dream of riding a motorbike?

I have dreamed about riding a motorbike since I was a teenager. Why didn’t I get the licence when I was 18? I have no idea… And the older I got, the more insecure I felt about riding a motorcycle. I then realised that the perfect motorcycle for me is a 125. Actually, it was supposed to be a scooter because I couldn’t find a 125 I liked. And a scooter isn’t a motorcycle… Then I found Brixton.

6.What’s the craziest ride you’ve been on?

I haven’t had a really crazy ride yet. But one day I want to ride my Cromwell, with my skis on my back, on the way to a nice ski tour.

7. The furthest from home you’ve ever been on your Brixton?

A tour through Pinzgau and the Kitzbühel province.

8. Where do you want to go next with your Brixton?

Next I want to go to the Dolomites. I love South Tyrol, and the Dolomites and their stunning nature.

9. Would you rather ride on ocean roads or mountain passes?

I live in the middle of the mountains, not far from the Großglockner, so I will certainly ride more in the mountains. But I would also love to ride ocean roads like in Sardinia.

10. The best place to run out of gas?

On the highest point of the pass at sunset, with my dearest.
