“Hi, my name is John and I’m from Athens-Greece. My hobbies include customising my motorcycles, also my Brixton, making YouTube videos to capturing all my adventures on my motorcycles and riding on my vehicles. I’m not working as I’ve decided to go to university to study aeronautical engineering. My parents, especially my dad, like to ride quads (ATVs) in their free time and when I was old enough to start my driving license, I decided to get a motorcycle license as I find it gives me more flexibility on the road.”

1. Which Brixton do you ride? What do you like best about it?

I ride a 2018 Brixton Felsberg 125 and the best thing about it is that it’s a proper scrambler motorcycle. Nowadays, most motorcycle manufacturers make futuristic bikes with plastic fairings or electronics and call them scramblers, even though they’re not even suitable for off-road riding. The Felsberg 125 is a simply designed retro bike that can not only be ridden off-road, also in enduro style – that’s what I love about it!

2. How long have you been riding a motorcycle?

I’ve been riding motorcycle for over five years now and as I ride so regularly, I can’t imagine doing it without my Brixton.

3. What is the perfect weather for you to ride?

My favourite days are the sunny ones with clear skies and no wind. Ideally it should be pleasantly warm so that I don’t get cold, but high summer and heatwaves are too hot for me.

4. Which accessories are indispensable for you on the motorcycle?

My most indispensable accessory is the mobile phone holder on my handlebar. It’s quite useful for me because I ride my motorbike for long distances and often use my mobile phone for navigation. I can also see what I’m recording with my action camera and that helps me to make my videos even better.

5. Why did you decide on this model?

My two favourites were the Cromwell 125 and the Felsberg 125, but as I found the decision very difficult because I liked the look of both models, I booked a test ride and decided on the Felsberg 125. I don’t regret my decision and still have just as much fun riding as I did at the beginning.

6. What was the most dangerous situation when riding your motorcycle?

When I went for a ride on my motorcycle, an older man hit me with a black SUV and then committed a hit-and-run. I lost control of my motorcycle, crashed and unfortunately couldn’t record his personal details such as car make/model or number plate.

7. Who is your favourite motorcycle buddy and why?

Together with my biker friends, we are like a team and have a lot of fun riding every time. My motorbike buddy is a girl, her name is Nicole and she is just as interested in motorbikes as I am. We have ridden a lot together and have had a lot of adventures on our bikes.

8. How often do you get to ride your motorcycle?

Actually every day, but when the weather is bad I’m not very motivated and usually prefer to stay at home.

9. Where do you ride your Brixton in your free time?

I often meet up with my friends and then we ride around together in a big group.

10. What was the most beautiful place you explored with your Brixton?

It’s called Vilia, iIt’s like the greek “Tail of the Dragon”. I like being there because there’s a beautiful view.
