Rider of the month: Vincent

My name is Vincent I am 33 years old and I live in Lyon, France. In 2021 I decided to buy a Brixton Cromwell 125. I wanted a vintage English style motorcycle and it met the criteria. Then I changed a lot of things to have a motorcycle like in my dreams. I changed the paintwork, saddle, shock absorbers, rear lights, number plate bracket, front headlight grille, custom made engine boot, handlebars, mirrors, crampon foot stop exhaust pipe and the tyres.
I have already traveled 50,000 kilometers in 4 years on my Brixton, sometimes by the sea and sometimes in the French Alps.

How did you get into motorcycling?

I discovered motorcycling through friends and sometimes travelled with them.

Why do you spend so much time on your Brixton?

The pleasure of driving, escaping, traveling, all of which means the air and the speed and the turns.

Would you like to change something on your Cromwell 125 or are you currently happy with it‘s look?

As I have already changed a lot, I am currently very happy with the result and don’t want to change anything for the time being.

How do you use your motorcycle in everyday life?

I use it every day to go to work, as well as for walks and road trips

How many motorcycle did you have before that?

I’ve never had a motorcycle before this Brixton Cromwell 125, this is my first one.

How did you know how to change motorcycle parts, paintthe vehicle,…?

I met a garage near me where you can have maintenance work and motorcycle upgrades done on the bike. I told them about my ideas and together we started the realisation. I borrowed the right equipment for the paint job and then started working with a friend.

Where did you get the parts that you changed on your Brixton?

Some parts come from my Brixton dealer where I bought my Cromwell 125 like the exhaust system and engine maintenance parts. I also got some parts from four different online shops that specialise in motorcycle conversions. I got the rest of the parts from the garage where I had the bike converted.

What motivated you to make so many changes to your motorcycle?

Having a unique motorcycle that turns heads, and being able to talk about the modifications made and made by myself is always a pleasure, and especially that I drive very well with it and many people do not think of a 125 when they see it

How long was the journey and who accompanied you?

The road trip that I made in the summer of 2024, lasting 1 week with a friend in the French Alps, to discover the mythical passes such as the Galibier and the Bonnette, A little loaded on the Brixton but by sparing it I was able to climb the passes if the problem even off road to go to sleep at the lake.
